I’m now into week 12.  Almost to the end of the first trimester.  These last few weeks have flown by and I can only imagine how fast the next 28 weeks will go.  I have become keenly aware of all that needs to be done and how overwhelming it can all be.  Eric and I were very much hoping to move before the baby came.  We are putting the house on the market next month and we are furiously house hunting at the moment…but who knows if all that will work out.  For now we have to act as if we will be bringing the baby home here because we just have no idea if we will find anything or if our house will even sell.  So there’s alot of preparation to be done.  Our house is VERY small and we are going to have to put alot in storage to make room for baby.  There are so many unknowns right now which is scary…especially with my job situation.  I can‘t talk about it right now but I just ask for your prayers and good thoughts over the next week or 2.

So….here’s my Week 11 pic.  I craved black beans and rice like crazy this week.  I ate it several days in a row.  I would make brown rice and layer it with black beans, sautéed veggies, cheese, salsa, and guacamole.  So yummy.  My own little version of the Golden Temple Stack.  If you haven’t had it…you should go by and get one.  It’s so yummy.  I also craved asian food and we got Surin takeout a couple of nights.  I also did stir-fry at home.  No “bad” cravings this week.  Still eating lots of fruit and some little pieces of a sugar free chocolate bar.  I also tried to make sugar free jello pudding with almond milk but it would never thicken – apparently it doesn’t work with non-dairy milk.  boo on that.  I’m also outgrowing my clothes.  I have 2 pairs of maternity pants at the moment and I’m wearing them over and over.   Haha!


Lots of preparations are happening.  We start interviewing doulas next week and I registered for our hospital tour and childbirth classes today!  We are also meeting with an attorney to write our wills and discuss guardianship if something were to happen to us.  So many details to handle but it’s all so exciting.
